Story of the Prodigal Son

he story of the prodigal son, found in Luke 15:11-32, is one of the most well-known and loved parables in the Bible. This story, told by Jesus, teaches valuable lessons about God's love, forgiveness, and redemption. As a Christian, it's important to understand how this story can be applied to our own lives. The story begins with a young man who asked his father for his share of the inheritance so that he could go and live life his way. He went and squandered all his wealth on loose living, eventually finding himself in dire straits, feeding pigs and longing to eat what they ate. This is a reminder that when we stray from God's plan for our lives and give in to temptations, the consequences can be dire. However, it's in this moment of desperation that the young man realizes his mistake and decides to return to his father and ask for forgiveness. This is where the message of God's love and forgiveness shines through. The father sees his son from a distance, and witho...

Story of Samson and the Foxes

In Judges 15, the story of the 300 foxes, also known as the "Story of Samson and the Foxes," is one of the most famous tales from the Book of Judges in the Bible. The story highlights the character of Samson, known for his bravery. Samson was a man of great strength and courage. He was born as a Nazarite, which meant that he had dedicated himself to God from birth and was set apart from the rest of the people. God had chosen him to be a judge and a deliverer for the Israelites, and he was tasked with freeing them from the oppression of the Philistines. According to the story, the Philistines, who were occupying Israel at the time, had declared war on the Israelites. Samson was determined to fight back against the oppressors and sought a way to defeat them. One day, while Samson was traveling, he came across a group of foxes that were causing trouble for the local farmers. In a fit of anger, he caught 300 of the foxes and tied their tails together. He then lit a fire and set t...

Sermons in the Month of June

Preparation & Elevation Week:  May 29th to June 4th  Freedom From Prison Genesis 40-41 Joseph received freedom from prison through the interpretation of dreams. It was his calling since he was a young man and Joseph remained consistent even while in prison. Through his dream interpretation of his fellow prisoner, Joseph was able to be recognized and called forth to interpret Pharaoh’s dream. Lesson Learnt: I should keep using my gift in music and calling in ministry even while going through tribulation in 'prison' (whatever form it takes). That calling will be the source of your freedom. From this excerpt, I learn that even in my darkest season, I should remain faithful in serving God with my music ministry, and through that, He will open doors of honor. Step out boldly. Week:  5th to 11th June  New Season, New Era The old is gone, the new has come. The old season was there to show me that God is there with me through my journey.   I have entered a new ...

WORSHIP AND PROVISION

Worship and Provision We had our annual church conference last week (10 th -17 th March) and the theme was Mind-Shift which was based on the 2019 theme which is Reset and Reposition. The sermons were really eye opening and with revelations which I just had to share. The guests were Bishop Kyula of Purpose Center and Pastor Muriithi from Mavuno Church. Bishop Kyula was ministering on Worshipping God and Provision. The teachings, full of insight, helped us grow both spiritually and financially and I’m here to share that. In his sermon on worship, he said worship is an act of obedience. It is action. It is a response. In Genesis 22, God commands Abraham to sacrifice Isaac to show His obedience to God. Abraham doesn’t hesitate. The day of the sacrificial giving, he goes the hill with Isaac together with his servants. Abraham leaves the servants at the bottom and says in verse 5, … and WE WILL come back to you (after giving the sacrifice). This already shows the faith Abraham ...
