Sermons in the Month of June

Preparation & Elevation

Week:  May 29th to June 4th
Freedom From Prison
Genesis 40-41

Joseph received freedom from prison through the interpretation of dreams. It was his calling since he was a young man and Joseph remained consistent even while in prison. Through his dream interpretation of his fellow prisoner, Joseph was able to be recognized and called forth to interpret Pharaoh’s dream.

Lesson Learnt:
I should keep using my gift in music and calling in ministry even while going through tribulation in 'prison' (whatever form it takes). That calling will be the source of your freedom.

From this excerpt, I learn that even in my darkest season, I should remain faithful in serving God with my music ministry, and through that, He will open doors of honor. Step out boldly.

Week:  5th to 11th June
New Season, New Era

The old is gone, the new has come. The old season was there to show me that God is there with me through my journey.

I have entered a new season of my life. Everything that had been held back from me has now been released.  I have received the blessings already in the spiritual realm, in the Kairos. Kairos is the appointed time in the purpose of God over one's life. I will learn to see God in the spiritual. I trust in God fully with faith unshaken.

Week 12th to 18th June
Dancing in the storm

Dancing when you don't have the strength to do it is a whole sermon btw. But anyway, met this sweet lady and she prayed with me before I shared with her regarding;  evangelism,  business, and other matters that had been in my spirit lately. These have been some of my prayer points and that was a Yes from God. I am confident that God has heard me and is making a way in accordance with His will.

Another message is to have boldness, confidence, and courage in handling situations. Through these circumstances, I experienced God lifting my heart’s burden, especially that of my family and I have seen testimonies in each one of them.

I am saying yes to God's calling.  God has given me the Assurance that His presence is always with me.

This is to just assure you who are reading that as I share the doings of the Lord, He is able and willing to do it for you too. We have overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimonies and I'd like to encourage you to give thanks because God is already making that situation work out. Amina? Amina!

Week 19th to 25th June
Praising God and acknowledging his Victory

Now two ladies that have just been loud in my daily readings or sermons have been Esther and Deborah! These two changed the trajectory of an entire kingdom, literally! In church, we have a group of young ladies called God Gurls. I think I'll reach out so we start getting ready to move in that Esther and Deborah wave for this generation.

So now back to this week's sermons, Deborah. After the Israelites won the war with the help of Jael (another mama who made moves!), Deborah composed songs of Praise to God. Apparently, she's the first woman to compose music in the Bible. Then there's Hannah with her praise hymn after giving birth to Samuel who was an answered prayer.

In yet another instance, Paul and Silas, while they were cuffed in prison, decided to sing hymns of praise to God.
All these situations show that in the middle of trouble and even after, these people chose to acknowledge that victory belongs to God, and praised like no one's business in these situations.

Let's keep praising even in that season that doesn't seem to have light at the end. Some of these lessons are usually cliché to us while reading but when it gets to that situation, they take a whole new form. Lesson of the week is always to praise God with songs of gratitude because  He has released that victory, just a matter of time.

Week  26th to 30th June

God's Purpose

Resting in the Lord is the theme loud this week. Friends, imagine God is working for you and you'll want to take a back seat in your life, okay? Just let God lead. God is preparing something beautiful.

It could be that what you planted in prayer is still underground cementing roots before revealing itself to you and to the world. So let that seed grow so that it can bear fruits. Have faith in God that what you prayed for is happening. Marcy, rest!

Stay blessed guys💛

Story of the Prodigal Son

he story of the prodigal son, found in Luke 15:11-32, is one of the most well-known and loved parables in the Bible. This story, told by Jesus, teaches valuable lessons about God's love, forgiveness, and redemption. As a Christian, it's important to understand how this story can be applied to our own lives. The story begins with a young man who asked his father for his share of the inheritance so that he could go and live life his way. He went and squandered all his wealth on loose living, eventually finding himself in dire straits, feeding pigs and longing to eat what they ate. This is a reminder that when we stray from God's plan for our lives and give in to temptations, the consequences can be dire. However, it's in this moment of desperation that the young man realizes his mistake and decides to return to his father and ask for forgiveness. This is where the message of God's love and forgiveness shines through. The father sees his son from a distance, and witho...

WORSHIP AND PROVISION

Worship and Provision We had our annual church conference last week (10 th -17 th March) and the theme was Mind-Shift which was based on the 2019 theme which is Reset and Reposition. The sermons were really eye opening and with revelations which I just had to share. The guests were Bishop Kyula of Purpose Center and Pastor Muriithi from Mavuno Church. Bishop Kyula was ministering on Worshipping God and Provision. The teachings, full of insight, helped us grow both spiritually and financially and I’m here to share that. In his sermon on worship, he said worship is an act of obedience. It is action. It is a response. In Genesis 22, God commands Abraham to sacrifice Isaac to show His obedience to God. Abraham doesn’t hesitate. The day of the sacrificial giving, he goes the hill with Isaac together with his servants. Abraham leaves the servants at the bottom and says in verse 5, … and WE WILL come back to you (after giving the sacrifice). This already shows the faith Abraham ...
