GETHSEMANE

One sunny afternoon, (yeah, it was on a very hot day) I met with my two friends for Bible study and I can tell you guys, it's always exciting to share the word and get revelations you had not perceived. It's like finding a key to a treasure room you've been craving to get in to.

During the Bible study, we shared about a few things and the story diverted. Our leader was talking about God first mentioning that He is the I AM who I AM to Moses in Exodus 3:14. God was saying to the Israelites that He is (that father, friend, protector, healer, provider, counselor, teacher, etc... yes, all that they would want Him to be,) that, He was. I AM that I AM.

Now fast forward to the New Testament. Mark 14:32-52 When Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane and the soldiers came to arrest Him after betrayal by Judas, he said to them; I AM HE. Immediately, everyone fell to the ground. He was completing what He started, He had said to Moses, I AM that I AM, and now, He was present, in flesh among the people and revealed to them. I AM HE. So we see that the power of the name I AM HE being manifested here.

Again, the Bible says that there was a young man, wearing nothing but a linen garment, following Jesus. When the soldiers seized him, he fled naked, leaving his garment behind. When you read traditions of the Israelites, you will find out that they used to bury the wealthy people with nothing but linen garments.  [Mark 14:51] And in those days, the Garden of Gethsemane was used as a cemetery. Why does the Bible mention the boy, naked and covered in linen garments in a cemetery where Jesus was praying? The Bible does not talk about anything in vain, every word is significant.

This shows us that that young man was dead, and when Jesus said I AM HE and everyone fell to the ground, the power of resurrection was already at work in that place. When people were rising up, he rose up with them. The young boy resurrected. So he was among those who were resurrected with the likes of Lazarus, Jairus' daughter (Luke 8: 40-55), a widow’s son (Luke 7:12-15), the daughter of a synagogue leader (Matthew 9:18-25), among others.

That was a great revelation to me and I thought I'd share it with all.
Stay Blessed.

Story of the Prodigal Son

he story of the prodigal son, found in Luke 15:11-32, is one of the most well-known and loved parables in the Bible. This story, told by Jesus, teaches valuable lessons about God's love, forgiveness, and redemption. As a Christian, it's important to understand how this story can be applied to our own lives. The story begins with a young man who asked his father for his share of the inheritance so that he could go and live life his way. He went and squandered all his wealth on loose living, eventually finding himself in dire straits, feeding pigs and longing to eat what they ate. This is a reminder that when we stray from God's plan for our lives and give in to temptations, the consequences can be dire. However, it's in this moment of desperation that the young man realizes his mistake and decides to return to his father and ask for forgiveness. This is where the message of God's love and forgiveness shines through. The father sees his son from a distance, and witho...

WORSHIP AND PROVISION

Worship and Provision We had our annual church conference last week (10 th -17 th March) and the theme was Mind-Shift which was based on the 2019 theme which is Reset and Reposition. The sermons were really eye opening and with revelations which I just had to share. The guests were Bishop Kyula of Purpose Center and Pastor Muriithi from Mavuno Church. Bishop Kyula was ministering on Worshipping God and Provision. The teachings, full of insight, helped us grow both spiritually and financially and I’m here to share that. In his sermon on worship, he said worship is an act of obedience. It is action. It is a response. In Genesis 22, God commands Abraham to sacrifice Isaac to show His obedience to God. Abraham doesn’t hesitate. The day of the sacrificial giving, he goes the hill with Isaac together with his servants. Abraham leaves the servants at the bottom and says in verse 5, … and WE WILL come back to you (after giving the sacrifice). This already shows the faith Abraham ...
