GETHSEMANE

One sunny afternoon, (yeah, it was on a very hot day) I met with my two friends for Bible study and I can tell you guys, it's always exciting to share the word and get revelations you had not perceived. It's like finding a key to a treasure room you've been craving to get in to. During the Bible study, we shared about a few things and the story diverted. Our leader was talking about God first mentioning that He is the I AM who I AM to Moses in Exodus 3:14. God was saying to the Israelites that He is (that father, friend, protector, healer, provider, counselor , teacher, etc... yes, all that they would want Him to be,) that, He was. I AM that I AM.  Now fast forward to the New Testament. Mark 14:32-52 When Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane and the soldiers came to arrest Him after betrayal by Judas, he said to them; I AM HE. Immediately, everyone fell to the ground. He was completing what He started, He had said to Moses, I AM that I AM, and now, He was pr...

SEEK HIM

I was sharing with some friends today, and we were talking about how you might be living but feel so low, you know? Waking up thankful for another day but see the stagnancy in your life and wonder, what you are doing. Of what benefit is the job you're doing, besides the income of course. You think of your age mates, colleagues, friends, relatives, and start comparing, what are you not doing right since they seem to be progressing and you try but seem to be on hold. I have heard people saying they're tired of their lives, they want to give up. They think dying is their next option, probably the only solution, a rest from everything for good, you know? I listen and I think of myself too, think of when many times I've wanted to give up. Does it get to this? Maybe it's not about suicide, it's just the thought of resting in peace and not waking up again. It could be a solution, but have I exhausted every option?  Sometimes we're too drained to pray, you know...

PURPOSE

Apostle Tengu Yoka of Resurrection Temple preached on a sermon themed  The Deep calls to the Deep. T he sermon was explaining how God created everyone with a specific purpose which must be accomplished but He alone knows it and reveals it at the right time.   Rahab was a prostitute in the days of Joshua during the exodus. Though a prostitute, Rahab helped two spies accomplish their duty and all this was possible because of her stature at that time. During those days, prostitutes in Jericho were forced to live next to the walls surrounding the city. She was able to host the spies at a strategic location and knew God would deliver Jericho into the hands of the Israelites [ Joshua 2:8-11 ].  Rahab's assignment was fulfilled when she helped the people of God spy on their enemies. For this reason she became a woman of honor in her time. The seed which is purpose placed in her by God bore fruits when it was time and all this happened for the Glory of God.  ...

FRESH START

Jesus Christ came to resurrect those that had died in sin, fear, poverty, sensuality, sickness, those who had been chained in bondage by alcohol, drugs,  theft, unforgiveness, hatred, bitterness, pride, addictions etc...God told Ezekiel to speak life to the dry bones and indeed he did and God made flesh come over them and they came back to life (Ezekiel 37:1-14).... Today, i want us to speak life to everything that died in us...the gifts, skills, love, among others. Come to God as you are and tell Him everything in your heart, tell God why you can't leave that man who mistreats and defiles you, why you can't forgive your parents or that friend who really hurt you, tell Him why it's so hard to get out of that addiction of drugs, porn, talk to Him as you would talk to yourself in the mirror...You have tried everything but nothing seems to take away the pain, trying to belong by changing who you are and trying to be like the people around you, doing everything to please y...
